Earlier this year, brand line teXet replenished with new model TN-705. Navigation, mobile communications, internet, media applications and the ability to install programs on your own - the creators managed to combine the device functionality and low cost. In the box apart from the device are instructions for the navigation software and devices, chargers and cigarette lighter socket 220, a windshield mount and USB-cable to the computer. Everything you need is, perhaps that is not enough cover for the navigator, and after TN-705 will obviously be used not only in the car. However, by comparison, it was found that the browser is suitable cover from a PSP Sony. New software comes CityGuide Navitel and Navigator, but the user can select any other navigation program, or even several. This is convenient for travelers who enjoy the way some cards, but on arrival at the load more. For this purpose a special menu to specify the path to the run, and the default icon will open another GPS navigation. The number of additional programs limited only by the size of the stick, and compatibility with Windows CE 6.0. Built-in NAND-memory is 2 GB, in addition, in case there is room for additional cards. Design of the browser matches the current trends: elegant slim design with soft-touch plastics are gradually replacing awkward bulky boxes with small screens. The front part of the TN-705 is completely smooth, 5-inch display framed by a black frame with logo teXet, and the rear panel is made of soft-touch coating. The stylus is located in the lower right corner, and jacks for headphones, flash cards and mini-USB are on the left side. Film on the screen skukozhivaetsya in the cold (-13), making it difficult to work with the navigator in the winter outdoors or in unheated car. Housing pretty thin - just 13.5 mm, so the device is convenient to work, holding it in his hands or putting on the table. On the rear wall of the housing is a light sensor that controls the backlight automatically. In the main menu, eight icons located on the screen a half-circle. The display is located only six icons, so to see the rest you need with your finger (stylus) to scroll through them like a carousel, or use click Play. The left side of the screen shows the battery charge, information about the satellites, the operation mode Bluetooth, presence / absence of communication with the satellites, volume control and a clock. To work with the device attached stylus, but the need for it when working with standard software is almost there. Double-clicking on the first icon in the menu runs the navigation software. The second icon opens a menu of media, where the available audio and video players, photo viewing and reading books. "Heavy" video files before uploading and viewing on the TN-705 to facilitate the converter. The third item on the choice of three games, including the good old Tetris. The fourth paragraph sets up the work of Bluetooth, but you must make sure that your phone is capable of transmitting data in this mode. Joining once your phone with the navigator, then the device will automatically connect with it after a break of communication (eg, communication has broken, when the driver went to fill a car or went to the store with the phone). Via BT, you can configure the speakerphone and use the phone without taking your eyes off the road. In the same menu item starts a Web browser, but this icon is only available when the TN-705 connected to the phone with an Internet connection. The fifth icon in the menu opens a utility - a calculator and converter of physical quantities. In the installation regulated by the standard settings (sound, lighting, Language, date / time, the calibration screen, reset). It is in this tab under "Path" set path running navigation software. With the installation of FM-transmitter audio from the device can be transferred to the radio speakers. By the way, the shell itself is no volume control, it can be done only on the cassette (at the time of the transmitter) or in the settings. The last icon in the menu - WinCE - opens on-screen desktop operating system Windows CE 6.0, which can be used independently established applications. On the table by default on five labels - "My Device", a basket, Messenger, web browser and GPS. Navigator is built on a processor SIRF Atlas-IV 500 MHz, RAM is 128 MB, which provides quick work with the data. Navigator also comes with a GPS-receiver SiRF + with 64 receiving channels, thereby rapidly and accurately determined location. It is worth noting that the TN-705 is not jack for an external antenna GPS, and yet the opportunity to download any navigation program has much to this. Cost Navigator teXet TN-705 on the market is about 7500 rubles. This is the most accessible representative navigators supporting information on traffic jams. It almost replaces the PDA - with it you can operate autonomously for up to 4 hours (not connected with Bluetooth). A highlight of this model in combination of stylish appearance, compactness and versatility, and after all these criteria - key when choosing a browser, which also acts as a PDA.
