Muscovites will not be profitable to ride in cars

The Moscow City Government has made development plan for road and transport infrastructure of the city. Priority will be given to the development of public transport, and after 5 years motorists will not be profitable to go to the center on a personal computer. Head of the Department of Transportation and Development of road and transport infrastructure of the city of Moscow Nikolay Lyamov told about the program in the years 2012-2016, which took officials at a meeting on April 12. Priority in the coming years will be given to public transport - all begin with the mass introduction of dedicated lanes for public transport. In the next 5 years about 40 routes will be equipped with such belts. Public transport will be developed so that car owners will not be profitable to ride on private transport. For 5 years, will be organized around five million parking spaces. However, these parking lots can be called soon interceptor - almost all of them will apply. In this case, the closer to the center, the more will leave the car in the parking lot. For a man with an average salary would be quite expensive to travel to the center of Moscow. Lyamov noted that in future the Government will consider the option that was included in the cost of parking fare on public transport. Ideally, the picture will look like this: a man leaves his car where he can afford, and more free rides on public transport, where he wanted. By this time, public transport will be more comfortable, and keep track of the organization of routes and timely delivery of people will be unified dispatch center. In 2011-2012, the money will be allocated for the purchase of more than 2,5 thousand units of rolling stock, including low floor for the disabled. All these buses will meet the environmental standards of Euro 4 and Euro-5. Park trolley buses and trams will also be updated. In the procurement preference will be given to transport domestic production. Deputy Mayor of Moscow Government stressed that raising fines for parking, the recent decision by the Duma in the third reading, was fully justified. "Do not put the car where not allowed, and will not need to think about how much it costs" - snapped Nicholas Lyamov. He said that due to the tightening of fines, motorists will be less disturbed. Also, the official noted that the bands for public transport will be installed surveillance cameras, so that no one would leave a fine, which by this time in Moscow will be about 3 thousand rubles. When asked about the stalled construction of the Fourth Ring Road, Mamontov said that it completely finish building does not make sense, because the financial cost of the project itself is not justified. As an example, the official said that the 1 km road from the highway enthusiasts to Izmailovskaya worth more than 8 million rubles. The Government will consider a plan to build CTK and decide which areas must be complete construction to relieve traffic jams in those places. In accordance with the General Plan, which was included the construction of the fourth ring to be adjusted, as well as funding for this project. Later on the website of the Department of Transport will be posted the full document, based on the government meeting in Moscow on April 12. Nicholas Lyamov noted that a completely redesigned site works all week, in addition to messages about the decisions and news where you can find a list of illegal and auto businesses, the services which the Department recommends not using. And the resources there is a section for feedback from citizens, each application will be considered, and it will be answered. Text: Olga Zabelkina
